Operation

  1. Place a receptacle/container at the outlet chute of the mill to receive the flour
  2. Check sieve for tear or holes (both at the hammer mill and sifter)
  3. Start engine/electric motor and allow to achieve operating speed
  4. Pour feed into hopper,
  5. Stop engine/electric motor when milling is complete

Routine Maintenance

  1. Clean machine before and after work every day. Clean milling chamber, milling screen and hammers thoroughly with dry cloth.
  2. Check driving belts(s) tension and adjust when necessary

Periodic Maintenance

  1. Check belt(s) for wear. Replace worn, weak and torn belt(s).
  2. Check milling screen. Replace worn and damaged screen. Use only fine milling screen according to the required micron specification.
  3. Check Hammers for wear and replace when necessary.
  4. Check foundation bolts for looseness and tighten if necessary.
  5. Check all bolts and nuts on the machine especially those securing the hammers for looseness and tighten accordingly.
