Prof. Paul Pinnock Bosu, the newly inducted Deputy Director-General (DDG) of the CSIR paid a visit to CSIR-Food Research Institute, An Institute under the council as part of his introductory tour on the 22nd of January, 2019. He was met by the Director of the institute, Dr. Mrs. Mary Obodai who organized a staff durbar at the Directors’ Conference room in his honor. The courtesy call paid by Prof. Pinnock Bosu was to formally introduce himself as the Deputy Director-General and also share his mandate and vision with his fellow colleagues.
At the durbar, He outlined his policies, vision, and mandate about what he was bringing to the table and how he was going to tackle the challenges of CSIR. Throughout his Presentation, he quoted many authors and notable scholars that resonated with all who were present. The Director took the opportunity to introduce the Internal Management Committee (IMC) members to the DDG. Also, pledges for the Research Staff Association (RSA), Senior Staff Association (SSA), Local Union of TUC, CSIR Administrators and Accountants Ghana (CAAG) and Ladies’ Club were said.
After the brief but In-depth introduction, the director of FRI passed remarks on how elated she was and she was looking forward to more of such meetings and working closely with him. With that, he bid the institute Adieu and encouraged us all to work hard and instill discipline as our hallmark.
